Kolan International Hospital Ear Nose and Throat Diseases Division uses modern and advanced technologic methods for diagnosis and surgical treatment of not only diseases of ears, nose and sinus cavities, lips and mouth cavity structures, nasal cavity (epipharynx), pharynx and throat, but also diseases of thyroid and parathyroid glands and all salivary glands, and anomalies of head and neck structures. In Ear Nose Throat Diseases polyclinic examinations, endoscopic and microscopic examination methods are employed, and analyses for diagnosis of hearing and balance system diseases are performed in audiology laboratory of our Division.

Otology / Neurology: Medical and surgical treatment of ear diseases covering congenital anomalies of external, middle and inner ears, and infectious and traumatic diseases and cancers, and disorders of motor tracts affecting hearing and balance:

• Surgery for auricular disorders or lack of auricle, and for aural atresia anomalies with stenosis or closure of external auditory canal.
• Surgery for chronic middle ear diseases (repair of tympanic membrane perforations, repair of ossicles, cholesteatoma surgery).
• Medical and surgical treatment of facial nerve paralysis.
• Medical and surgical treatment of Meniere’s Disease.
• Surgical treatment of ossicular arthritis (otosclerosis).
• Surgical treatment of auricle, external auditory canal and middle ear tumors.
• Insertion of hearing instrument placed on bone by an operation.
• Cochlear implant (bionic ear).

Pediatric otolaryngology:

• Medical and surgical treatment of ear, nose and throat diseases in children.
